Clamp Stretching For Pro Scooters

This week on Boot Camp, Major Kevin shows you how to stretch your pro scooter clamp. Installing your clamp can be difficult if the clamp is too tight to fit over the fork tube or if the bars are not able to slide into the clamp. Clamp stretching is a technique commonly used on standard compression systems, but may also be required on other pro scooter compression systems.

How To Install Inverted Compression System

This week on Boot Camp, Major Kevin shows you how to install an inverted compression system (ICS) on a Grit Elit. There are two kinds of inverted compression systems out there, ones that use a shorter bolt, and ones that use a very long bolt. District pro scooters use the ICS system with the shorter bolt, while Grit uses the ICS system with the long bolt. Major Kevin also shows you how to install a star nut into your bars!

This week in Boot Camp, Major Kevin explains how to install a crown race on your scooter forks. A crown race makes sure the your pro scooter forks sit tightly against the headset. Some forks like the Grit Forks have crown races pre-installed, but for most custom pro scooters you will need to install the crown race yourself. Major Kevin also shows you how to throw a real live grenade! So watch out!
